Cleaned Springfield Ave with BH Walks

Silver Liming Kindness Team and teens walked down Springfield avenue to clean the streets for the BH Block Party.

Relay for Life

Silver Teens had great time raising funds for the American Cancer Society during the  Relay for Life event.  Laurie Liming, the founder of Silver Liming Foundation, was the guest speaker representing cancer survivors.  

L'Oreal Give Back Day helps Silver Liming

The Kindness Team paired up with L'Oreal to write letters to our homebound friends during their 'Give Back' community day of service.

Our Community Garden

The Silver Liming Kindness Team planted tomatoes, kale, zucchini and more.   We maintain the garden and  donate the produce to the food pantry at the Church of the Little Flower

Spreading Kindness at MKM Early Childhood Center

Silver Teen Ambassadors, along with Bubbles our mascot, attended the Wheel-A Thon at MKM.  They spoke about the importance of spreading kindness, and how easy it is for children to be kind.

Cookies for a Cause- John Laposky Memorial

Silver Teens raised funds through our Cookies for a Cause fundraiser at the annual John Laposky Memorial Home Run Derby.

Helped Mom and Girls from Ukraine

Family in need who traveled to USA with nothing escaped war torn Ukraine.  We saw a need and the community stepped up to help this family.   

MLK Day of Service

We teamed up with the BH Diversity council to participate in a community day of service. We wrote letters to active military personnel and their families.

Warming Hearts and Hands of Homeless Children

We saw a need, you made it happen. Homeless children below the age of five were in need of winter hats, mittens, etc.  Silver Liming’s kindness team, along with MANY community members donated and filled 24 backpacks for homeless littles.

Helping Summit YMCA Families in Need

Kindness team wrapped all of these donated toys for children in need during the holidays.

Dad in Need

Dad in need. Local dad has been diagnosed with metastatic stomach cancer.  He is receiving treatment and recovering from surgery.  Let's help this family get through this tough time while he is out of work.  Your kind gestures were appreciated.

Laptop for Jake

Jake has a rare form of cancer.  He needed to attend school virtually and he did not own a computer.  We eased his burden by purchasing a MAC Book Pro and AirPods.  Thank you for your generous donations.

Family lost everything in a fire

A local family lost everything in a house fire.  The family survived but needs to rebuild their lives.  We created an Amazon wish list and all items were purchased!

Governor Livingston High School Seniors

Due to the pandemic, the 2021 seniors have not had an easy past two years.  Each senior received a t-shirt with the name of every classmate written on the back.  Congratulations graduates!

Sisters needed help, received a surprise!

This family lost their dad to covid and Kaity has become the legal guardian to her 2 sisters.   We supported the girls through an amazon link filled with new all of the items needed for their bedroom makeovers.

Local dad in car accident

Shop Rite gift cards were purchased for a family while the dad was out of work  due to injuries form a car accident.  Thank you for your support.

Angel baby

Monetary donations were collected and donated to our family who lost their baby during childbirth.  We are thankful for your support.

Spreading Love

Clothing, shoes and essentials were purchased through Amazon, and Shop Rite gift cards were donated to our February Family.  Love was spread and cherubs were fed.

Kiddos Losing a Parent

2020 was a challenging year for all of us, but life was especially  difficult for our kiddos who lost a parent.   With your funding, the children were indulged with a generous amount of Amazon gift cards for their holiday needs.

Adopt-a-Family for Thanksgiving

We collaborated with the Church of the Little Flower Confirmation candidates to feed 16 local families. In teams, the students chose the menu and bought all the food and trimmings for the meal.

School Supplies

Silver Liming members created a wish list of school clothing and supplies for families in need.  Donors clicked on the Amazon link, and the items were shipped.   Click, buy, send!

Our Lucky Charm

Silver Liming and Max Challenge of New Providence and Union worked together to raise money for our lucky charm, Jenny.  Jenny’s horse therapy helps build core strength while bringing joy; a stronger core may help Jenny walk.   With your support we were able to donate fifteen riding sessions.

Homebound Hospitality 

COVID brought challenges that nobody could have predicted.  Church of the Little Flower and Silver Liming joined forces to feed senior citizens who are homebound.  Countless bags of groceries were delivered to those in need of supplies and a kind gesture.

Local Family in Need

Sometimes needs are very specific.  Silver Liming Foundation sponsored a drive for a local family.  Both parents were battling illness, and neither was able to work.  With the generosity of supporters like you, we fed this family.

Dinnerly Donations

Donors like you supported our dinner drive for a local family.  Mom has been battling cancer for four years, and her treatments are relentless.  30 meals were donated to this family.

Baby Love

While his mom was busy battling cancer, we were able to provide this precious baby with diapers, formula, and essential needs.  Thanks to the generosity of people like you, this young family had time to focus on mom’s health instead of shopping for basic baby needs.

Sweet Sophie

Silver Liming is committed to spreading kindness, and for Sophie, the gestures are easy to fulfill.  Contributions by folks like you provided support for Sophie and her family while they were living in Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP).

Teach Your Children Well

September offered families a chance to volunteer by helping a recent widow with some yard work.  Parents and children gathered twigs, weeded and spent valuable time with our 90 year old friend while giving his yard a fresh look.

Max Challenge members worked out while raising money for a friend with cancer.  The happy recipient and her dog were grateful.

Live Strong

The SAY teamed up with Silver Liming.  Former Livestrong participants who are fighting cancer received cozy jammies and gift cards.

Governor Livingston High School Seniors

Due to the pandemic, the 2020 seniors spent the last semester quarantining instead of dancing at prom, enjoying Project Graduation, and having the thrill of friends and families cheer for them as they receive the diploma.  Each senior received a t-shirt with the name of every classmate written on the back.

Linda Gets Creative

Local artists, including Linda Tribuna were kind enough to donate masks for a cause.  The masks were available for free, but donations were welcome.  Donations were given to Silver Liming, and used to continue our mission of spreading kindness.

Boy Scouts

Early in December, Troop 23, Pack 23 reached out to us and donated dinner for ten families in need.  Silver Liming Juniors delivered the boxes of food while learning the importance of volunteering and helping those in need.

Welcome Back

The students at Governor Livingston High School returned to school after months, and were greeted with sweet treats to remind them that kindness is everywhere.

Essential Workers 

Pampered Chef host Mackenzie Mercado joined Silver Liming’s mission to spread kindness.  Lunch coolers were filled with snacks, puzzles, lip gloss, and more .  You can’t see it, but they are smiling behind the masks.
